Who We Are
AFI is an International, professional consortium of subject matter experts who investigate, review, analyze and/or play a role in adjudicating law enforcement use-of-force cases. The goals of the association are to provide a secure online networking and communication platform; regularly scheduled high quality and globally accessible continuing education opportunities from leading experts, and access to the most up-to-date research and policy resources available. AFI values a cooperative-learning model, in which there are no figureheads or outside business affiliations. To achieve this, we foster a collaborative learning environment in which we all strive to improve our professional practice together.
Membership to the association will be highly regulated and exclusive to those with a direct professional association with the investigation (law enforcement or civilian), analysis, review, and/or adjudication process (defense or prosecution) of law enforcement use-of-force cases. Interested applicants must submit a resume or CV with either contact information for their current employer or proof of private practice as an expert or specialist in a related field.
Benefits of Membership
AFI membership fees are used to maintain the needed technology platforms, administrative functions, and to pay speaker/instructor fees. The yearly membership dues are $495 with the option to renew each year on the date that membership is granted. Membership is all-inclusive and provides access to the following:

Regular high quality online continuing education seminars with certificates upon completion. The seminars will be facilitated by the foremost experts in the field and they will be different each year. In addition, members will have access to a full library of recorded seminars.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.) Fill out the information and submit your professional CV or resume with contact information for your current employer or proof of private practice as an expert or specialist in a related field.
2.) Once your application has been reviewed and approved for membership, you will receive an email with a link to the membership payment site.
3.) Once payment has been submitted, you will receive login credentials for the membership portal.
